The SSI Responsible Diver Code

As an SSI Responsible Diver, I pledge to:

  • Dive Within My Limits: Always dive within the limits of my training, certification, experience, comfort, and ability.

  • Maintain Appropriate Dive Health: Including physical fitness, physical health, and mental awareness appropriate for diving.

  • Utilize a Dive Plan: Plan my dive and follow my dive plan.

  • Be a Responsible Dive Buddy: Remain with my dive buddy from the start of my dive to the very end of my dive.

  • Inspect My Dive Equipment: Prior to each and every dive, I will inspect my equipment and ensure everything is working properly.

  • Be Aware While Diving: Monitor my cylinder pressure, depth, and time, respect no-decompression limits, perform controlled ascents, safety stops, and monitor my dive buddy.

  • Maintain Proficient Dive Skills: I understand that diving skills and knowledge are perishable. I will perform a skill update if necessary.

  • Respect the Environment: Be aware of currents, waves, visibility, temperature, and hazardous marine life. I will obey all applicable diving regulations and codes.

  • Plan for Emergencies: I will have an emergency action plan should my dive buddy or I have an emergency.

  • Accept Responsibility: I am primarily responsible for my safety during all diving activities.

SSI believes that diving risks are mitigated through their core concept: the "Diver Diamond," which emphasizes the importance of:

  1. Knowledge

  2. Skills

  3. Equipment

  4. Experience

Aromatherapy/Yoga/Diving - Be Divine!!!

Why choose Ar_Yo_Divin_??

"Our business isn't just about diving. It's about personal transformation through the use of three key tools: Aromatherapy, Yoga, and Scuba Diving."

Is Scuba Diving safe?

"Is scuba diving safe for beginners? It’s a very common question, especially before your first introductory dive. The answer is simple: Yes! You can explore the sea safely and without fear, as long as you are accompanied by a certified recreational diving professional."

Do I need to know how to swim to dive with Ar_Yo_Divin_??

Did you know that many water sports don’t require you to know how to swim? That’s a super common question we hear about trying scuba diving: "Do I have to know how to swim to dive?"

Great news: Basic swimming ability is not required for an introductory "discovery" experience! You do not need to be a strong swimmer to take your first breaths underwater with an instructor right by your side.

When you dive, you breathe compressed air from a tank through a regulator, and your equipment manages your position in the water, so drowning isn't a concern. 😉 The idea that you "need to swim to dive" is a total myth for these initial experiences.

What really matters underwater is comfort and buoyancy control, which you master in shallow water under close supervision. Feeling relaxed and comfortable is key—once that happens, fear disappears and you can simply enjoy the experience!

(Note: To pursue a full scuba certification course like SSI Open Water Diver, basic swimming skills and a 10-minute float test are required for safety reasons. This initial experience is the perfect first step!)
